Pastor Malcolm is married to Susan and they have two children, Christy and Jordan. He holds a BSW degree from the University of Texas at Arlington,  and a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary.  In addition to his current appointment as Sr. Pastor of First United Methodist Church Nederland, he has served churches in Arlington TX, Nicholasville Kentucky, Orange TX, Crystal Beach/ Port Bolivar and Houston TX.  Ministry highlights include, clown ministry, 1st president of the Greater Orange Area Habitat for Humanity, and being actively involved in each community where he has served.

Associate Pastor
 Pastor Toney has been the Associate Pastor at FUMC for five years.  He serves as a part time pastor with a full time heart and passion for Christ.  He is married to Suzanne. They have two daughters Samantha and Candace, one son-in-law and one son-in-law on the way. They are enjoying two beautiful granddaughters, Makayla and Natalie.

 Jeana has been attending FUMC since birth.  She has been on staff for over 8 years now.  She has three children, the oldest, Will, practices law in the San Diego area.  The two younger children are Kaylyn, 15, and Coleton, 13.  She shares her life and her church with her husband, Ricky.

Administrative Secretary

Shelba Laird is the church's administrative secretary.  She has been employed with First Church for over 9yrs and has taught Sunday school for 20 + years.  She is married to Pat. They have two children, Rebecca and Cody and this past June welcomed a new son in law, Frank.

Sharon Terrell is First Church’s financial secretary.  She joined the staff in early 2007.   She is married to John. They have two grown children Tad Terrell and Tina Simmons. They have 6 grandchildren that keep them busy. Sharon is a member of First Baptist- Groves.
